I am currently a student at Auburn University, majoring in Philosophy and German. An entrepreneur at heart, I am involved in real estate, product development, and community development.

I have been based in Opelika, Alabama since 2019 and previously lived in Charleston, South Carolina. Although growing up as a military child and living in many different places, I have always considered Mariposa, California (a small town just outside Yosemite National Park) my home.

What I Do

  • I created and currently operate The Curious Fox Co., an online candle shop. It was created with the intention of bringing a beautiful, purposeful, and well-crafted candle brand to the Opelika marketplace.

  • In 2021, I began working on designing a small mixed-use space in the Southside historic district of downtown Opelika. With this, I hope to bring 3-5 new commercial units and apartments to the area.

In January 2024, I was accepted as a member of the National Town Builders Association (NTBA), which encourages developers to help create walkable communities that are “socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable.”

  • For me, all roads lead back to design. I believe that good, thoughtful, and functional design practices should be the rule, not the exception. Therefore, in everything I do, I strive to do it with beautiful design in mind.

  • In June 2024, I was selected to take part in the 20 Under 40 Program - a year long program that consists of an ambitious group of people who have a vested interest in shaping the future of Opelika.

I am a former volunteer of Opelika Main Street, having been heavily involved in the organization between March 2020 and August 2024. I also sit on the board of the Opelika Downtown Redevelopment Authority. I am also a former board member of Creekline Opelika and currently the Stewardess of a Little Free Library in Downtown Opelika.

In May 2024, I attended the annual Main Street Now conference through Main Street America with my former peers from Opelika Main Street.

I recently worked with my peers and the Historic Preservation Commission to develop clearer and more effective guidelines for the city’s Historic Preservation.

  • I believe that growth is never-ending and that personal development should be a priority for all. As a philosophy student, I am exposed daily to challenging new concepts. I am currently an intermediate German student and in April 2024, I was inducted into the German Honor Society, Delta Phi Alpha.

In April 2024, I also took part in Auburn University’s 14th Annual World Languages, Literature, and Cultural Symposium where I spoke on topics such as: laws, morality, and justice and the expectation of women in the 19th century. Please view more details on my Linkedin page here (under Honors & Awards).

In June 2024, I took and passed my German A2 Language Exam through the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta. I am now actively studying for my B1 exam. Please see the link here to read about the different test tiers.

In September 2024, I successfully completed the Government and Economic Development Institute intensive course through Auburn University.
